Whole Genome Scans Using High Density Arrays
Origen Labs offers genotyping services using the latest arrays from Affymetrix® including the SNP6.0 array that contains ~1.8 million probe sets comprising ~900,000 SNPs, and ~900,000 copy number variation (CNV) probes.

Targeted Genotyping
Using the Affymetrix® Targeted Genotyping System, which incorporates Molecular Inversion Probe Technology developed by ParAllele, we are able to screen from 3,000 to 25,000 SNP’s on either application specific or custom Affymetrix GeneChip® arrays.

Molecular Cytogenetics
The use of high density microarrays allows the identification of regions with a loss of heterozygosity (LOH) and estimation of changes in chromosomal copy number. This analysis uses data from both the polymorphic and nonpolymorphic probes present on the GeneChip® SNP6.0 arrays. With an average of 1 marker every ~700 base pairs even small chromosomal abnormalities can be predicted. Origen Labs offers a low throughput option for processing of your cytogenetic samples.
